So I don’t know if any of you know this, but lately it hasn’t been raining it lately and we are in a bad drought. This concerns me a little bit though… Well a lot. It rained very lightly today and yesterday, but I don’t think it rained at our catchment areas. If it did proably didn’t make a huge impact.I want it to rain. You know, like pour. I want to have a thunderstorm, a huge one. So bad that it floods. Not this weak rain showers have now. I want it to come down in buckets! Also the designs of our damns do not help. The government designs them with a large surface area, while it it is shallow. So evaporation can take place easily, and sand can also blow into the water causing it to be muddy, and disgusting We should be building deeper damns with a smaller surface area. I learn’t these interesting facts in our Geography class. I also watched the weather last night and the night before. It seems that around South Africa it is raining. Like storming. Why not here? There are storms in towns next to us. But we don’t have any storms. So hopefully the weather will be good. The next time it storms, I am going to stand in the rain, without an umbrella… Embracing it
Bonjour! So I haven’t written in a while, well I didn’t know what to write about. Though I still don’t know I am pretty much bored out of my head!!! I decided to write something. So first of all Thank you to Teen Zone, who put an advert about my Jonas brothers petition, and thank you to the people who actually signed! Thank you! Anyway, I was just wondering how many of those people who sign the petition actually READ something from my blog. An interesting question, no? Anyway… so I might not dye my hair blond this holiday, but I am putting blue and purple. It was my hairdresser’s idea.. he loves to experiment with my hair, I think. So tonight my friends and I wanted to go ad see New Moon tonight, but I am putting up our Christmas tree tonight. It is a family tradition. We argued about this for a while… It went a bit like: New moon! It might come off soon, blah blah blah onions. Then I would say: But it is a Christmas tradition to put up the tree together! I went on like this for a while. Anyway we agreed to see it on Thursday. Better than nothing. Anyway, I am running out of words, so I suppose I should leave you, with a very short blog
Hello, bonjour, Molo, ummmm…. hi! Today has been fun, as it was my official last day of being taught in grade eight. It was pretty cool, because we did… absolutely nothing! Yay us! I came home today and sorted out my notes even further. Now every subject has it’s own little pile on my floor, and they are in a row according to the dates that I write them. I know it seems very organized, but I have to be organized for school. If it is for anything else I don’t care, really… So anyway the rest of the day was pretty boring. I sat around dreading writing exams, mainly because I don’t want to start learning, but I know once I start I will be coming a organized, studying freak. Who studies from the time she wakes up until she goes to sleep. With only 5 minute breaks in between 45 minute learning session’s. That is how I study. It doesn’t seem very intense, but I only developed this study method, because of Xhosa… I just study like that automatically. Any who… Luckily before I start studying I am going to go and see a art exhibition thing with my dad. I am really excited to go and see it, because lately I have really been into fashion and making random collage’s and drawing pretty patterns together to form what I call ‘free’ art. I cal it ‘free’ art because it isn’t suppose to look like something. So I have also been into art. So onto my cat. One of my eight cats (Yes, you heard correctly, eight) was chewing my mom’s top tonight will we were watching TV. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life! He is now one of my favourite’s, next to my foster kitten… So that is all I really wanted to say… So I will write soon. If I am not studying to hard.
Well it has been one hectic weekend! After weeks of waiting my aunt came down to our lovely city, Port Elizabeth! She comes from the rainy city Cape Town (with their fake mountain). It was a lovely weekend, well except for the fact that my dear, darling grandfather was admitted to hospital. I don’t think it is hectic, he is just been re-hydrated. Well that is all I know. He could be worse than I think, but I am sure he isn’t. So my weekend involved regular visit to the hospital(which by the way, I saw this person, who I don’t know, there the whole time I was there, and then later on on Sunday at the airport). At least I scored a hot chocolate out of it. Not only did wee visit my grand dad, we also talked about his condition. I said I didn’t know if I should be worried or not, well I don’t. But he looks better today than yesterday.
Anyway, I visited a different blog today. It is very interesting, especially for people interested in fashion. Which I now have got brilliant ideas for. These ideas include using some of my mos old clothes. Which I love. So visit www.tavi-thenewgirlintown.blogspot.com It is really good! I have gotten in to vintage now, I think it has a really cool vibe!
I just finished supper which included my favourite little chicken wings. I had most of them will my parents had about five shared among them, and my brother had two, I think. Anyway now here I am thinking of outfit ideas and reading Tavi’s blog… I suppose I should love and leave you..
In our lovely little neighbourhood my mom found a bunch of animal fur lying on the grass in front of our house. We immediately jumped to the conclusion that the fur belonged to our cat, Penny. But where was the cat’s body? We looked in our garden, under the car. We couldn’t find it, so we went back inside and found Penny lying on the carpet. We just got attacked when we tried to stroke her, so it wasn’t Penny. Then we thought it was the little dogs. we drove to the shops and saw more fur. It could be the Husky that lives close to us shedding, but there was to much fur. So we don’t know where the fur comes from…. It is a mystery.
So today we went to visit the dog we rescued today. Her name is Amber, yes I named her. She is so cute! I love her so much. I wish we could adopt her(dad if you are reading this… Please can we adopt her?). When we left animal welfare she started whining for us. She is so cute. She seems happy there though. So we might just sponsor her. But when we left we went to the shops, and we parked near the entrance, only people who have permission are really allowed to park there(we do). Then this old lady comes out moaning about how people are to lazy to walk to the shops and they have to park right on top of the shop. This kind of got me annoyed. Stupid thing to get annoyed about, but A. she doesn’t know what she is talking about, B. It could be the queens car, and she would still moan, and C. I bet you if she had the chance, she would park there too!. And D. She was with an old man, who lives in our street, who’s dog my mom takes out of the road many times.
We also went to my grand parents, where I got a free CD player. I was going to go and buy one with my birthday money, but it seems I don’t have too. So I got home and put all my CD’s in my mini CD rack, which I got from the study. Then I decided I should clean my room, which I did. It was quite tiring, but I still have my magazines to remove form under my bed. Which I am leaving for another day… I suppose I should go. I am starving! Time for lunch!
Well it has been, I dont know how many days since I had my birthday, but I feel so old! My brother went to his matri dinner the other night, and I felt even older! Soon I am going to get wrinkles! Aaaaaah! Anyway… my birthday was awesome! Though some people did kind of make it suck… not mentioning any names. In the morning I was treated to french toast and opening my presents. Which included a hair straightener, skittles(my favourite), a massive slab of chocolate(from my brother), a paramore CD, speckled eggs and a cereal bowl. can’t remember any thing else. So later on I had to go to school, where I got a mini slab of chocolate, a necklace and some bath stuff from my friends. One of my friends forgot my birthday, but I forgave her. Then I had sweet chili twister for lunch, cake for tea, and pizza for supper. Yum! So it was good! I miss having birthdays now, but at least I can look forward to Christmas! I have actually recently started becoming semi obsessed with the Jonas brothers… again. And I think that they must come and perform in South Africa, mainly PE. But people in America and over sea’s think that we have lions in our streets. As if! I suppose I should go… My lion just attacked me… not.
Hi people! This is my blog! My first blog! Well as you have probably gathered my name is Brittany, and this is my blog, where you can keep up with my life, friends and family . My categories are pretty simple except for the weird, wacky and wonderful one, that is where you can find all the leftovers like pictures and videos, and maybe if I can convince my friends, one of their blogs…
